  3. Reporting: The Security Specialist is tasked with preparing security plans, incident reports, and mitigation strategies, which are to be submitted to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) within agreed timeframes.
  4. Third-Party Interface: They will interface with third-party security and Government Security Agencies (GSA) in line with the company’s security policy as directed by the CSO.
  5. Surveillance: Monitoring the activities of guests and employees through physical and video surveillance is a key responsibility to ensure security within EnServ premises.
  6. Vulnerability Reporting: Identifying and reporting areas vulnerable to loss from internal or external sources and offering solutions to the Security Manager.
  7. Compliance: Maintaining compliance with departmental procedures and policies is essential.
  8. Surveillance Equipment Management: Ensuring the operational integrity of surveillance equipment and reporting any deficiencies.
  9. Stakeholder Relations: Maintaining good relationships and communication between all key stakeholders in the security division and the broader company.
  10. Safety and Rules Adherence: Being safety conscious and adhering to all company rules at all times.
  11. Reporting: Providing timely and quality reports on the unit’s activities to the Manager of Security Services.

Educational Qualifications

  • A first degree or its equivalent in Industrial Security or relevant disciplines in Engineering, Sciences, Social/Physical Sciences, etc.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CSMP, PFSO, ASIS-CPP, ARC Security Management (Stages 1-3), and membership in professional bodies like ASIS, NIIS, IFPO, etc., are required.

Competence and Skills

  • Knowledge of Exploration and Production Operations: Understanding the operations within the exploration and production sectors.
  • Security Planning and Risk Management: Expertise in security planning, threat analysis, risk management, and response planning, particularly in the Niger Delta and Frontier Basins.
  • Intelligence Gathering and Investigation Skills: Proficiency in intelligence gathering and expert investigation skills.
  • Interpersonal and Analytical Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and analytical abilities.
  • Networking and Relationship Management: Effective networking and relationship management capabilities.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills.
  • Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with Close Circuit Television (CCTV) and Intruder Detection Systems (IDS).

Experience

  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant post-qualification experience is required.
