1. Senior Chemist
Role Overview:
The Senior Chemist will play a crucial role in the analytical processes of KCM.
The primary responsibility of this position is to check and issue analytical results and reports to production departments.
The successful candidate will conduct technical and practical investigations and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data produced by assayers.
Key Responsibilities:
Issue analytical results and reports to various production departments.
Conduct technical investigations and validate the performance of assayers.
Ensure high-quality standards in all analytical processes.
Skills and Requirements:
A university degree in Chemistry or related Chemical Sciences.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mining laboratory. However, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to handle a high volume of work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
2. Certified Assayer
Role Overview:
The Certified Assayer is responsible for performing all routine and non-routine accounting and elemental analyses.
This role provides crucial support to the mining, concentrator, and other departments by ensuring accurate and reliable analytical data.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and non-routine elemental analyses for various departments.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
Produce accurate and reliable analytical data.
Skills and Requirements:
A diploma in Science Laboratory Technology.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mining laboratory.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 is an added advantage.
Strong safety consciousness and ability to work under minimal supervision.
