Job Summary

Eye Foundation Hospital is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Payable Officer to support its financial, administrative, and clerical operations.

This role involves managing payments to suppliers and creditors, processing vendor invoices, and recording the company’s short-term debts.

Responsibilities

  • Post business transactions and process invoices.
  • Verify financial data to maintain accurate accounts payable records.
  • Provide clerical support for organizational financial obligations.
  • Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
  • Protect the organization against unintentional overpayment.
  • Monitor timely payments to vendors.
  • Clarify any questionable invoice items or prices.
  • Assemble and review invoices for payment.
  • Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence for files.
  • Type periodic reports and records.
  • Obtain proper information regarding invoice payments.
  • Check vendor files for previous payments and assign voucher numbers.
  • Prepare vouchers with invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts, and accounting codes.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Input daily bookkeeping and record-keeping.
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and confirm receipt of goods or services before issuing payments.
