Key Responsibilities
- Project Ownership: Once assigned, you will take full ownership of projects, ensuring you are thoroughly familiar with all project details and objectives.
- Project Design Pack Review: Within 24 hours of assignment, review and understand the project design pack, which includes the Bill of Materials (BOM), High-Level Project Design (HLPD), and design drawings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure that all stakeholders, including contractors, are on the same page regarding project objectives, assumptions, and risks to prevent scope creep.
- Daily Reporting: Provide daily work plans and activity reports to your team lead or data analyst throughout the project’s duration.
- Issue Resolution: Quickly address and communicate any issues that could impact project timelines.
- Material Management: Ensure timely procurement and movement of materials to the project site, and inspect the quality of materials supplied by contractors to meet ipNX standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, particularly when working in potentially hazardous environments, such as near power lines or underground utilities.
- Technical Reporting: Submit comprehensive reports, including MST or P2P splice reports, OTDR trace tests, and hand-over documents.

Requirements

- Educational Background: A University Degree in Telecoms, Engineering, or Applied Sciences.
- Certifications: Certifications in Fibre Optic Cabling, such as CFOT or FOA, will be advantageous.
- Experience: Over 2 years of experience supervising fiber infrastructure projects, particularly in estates (MDU/MTUs), metro areas, and long-distance highways.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of fiber network architectures, designs, and splice plans is essential. Proficiency in using fiber test tools like OTDR, power meters, and light sources is required.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with data analytics software (Excel, Word, Google Sheets) and design tools (AutoCAD, Visio/GIS) is important.
- Practical Skills: Experience in FTTH and P2P fiber maintenance, including fiber termination using fusion splice machines and analyzing fiber links, is a distinct advantage.
