Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Relationship Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

  1. Book Quality Assets: Identify and book high-quality financial assets while ensuring they are closely monitored for any early signs of defaults.
  2. Portfolio Monitoring: Proactively manage your portfolio to ensure that accounts are performing well and detect any issues early.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build, deepen, and maintain relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
  4. Acquire New Accounts: Constantly work on bringing in new accounts while reviving dormant relationships.
  5. Product Marketing: Market the bank’s products to meet specific customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Product Development: Collaborate in the development of new products that cater to emerging customer needs.
  7. Service Maintenance: Provide efficient, ongoing service to existing customers to maintain relationships and keep accounts active.
  8. Zero Dormancy Tolerance: Ensure that all accounts remain active, maintaining the bank’s standards of customer engagement.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Manager to accomplish any additional tasks assigned.

Key Job Requirements

Education:

  • A minimum of a First Degree in any discipline, preferably business-related.
  • An MBA or professional certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant banking experience, particularly in marketing and credit management.

Knowledge Areas:

  • Financial advisory and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s business environment.
  • Banking operations, products, and services.
