Key Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst in Structured Trade and Commodity Finance (STCF) at FNB Botswana, you will be at the heart of deal management. Here’s what the job entails:
Deal and Transaction Management
- Deal Screening: You will work on leads from the Sales team and STCF Deal Maker, ensuring each deal is thoroughly vetted.
- Deal Structuring: Identifying transaction-specific risks and introducing risk mitigation measures is crucial.
- Deal Tracking and Pipeline Management: Engage with key stakeholders including Sales, Credit, Lending Operations, Off-takers, and the FirstRand Group to keep track of deals.
Risk Management and Due Diligence
- Due Diligence: Drive the due diligence process for STCF transactions to ensure all risks are assessed and managed.
- Credit Applications: Support STCF Deal Maker and Credit Origination teams in completing credit applications for both Pre-Screen and formal credit committees.
- Committee Contributions: Attend and contribute to Business & Credit Pre-Screens, main credit committees, and deal conclusion forums.
Ongoing Deal Maintenance
- Trade Instruments: Ensure all trade instruments are issued according to credit approval.
- Training: Provide ongoing training to in-country teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in deal management.
