This role involves using advanced numerical simulation techniques to forecast oil and gas production and recovery from both new and existing fields. The successful candidate will collaborate with other team members to devise development plans, execute data-gathering plans, and enhance recovery efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Numerical Simulation: Utilize advanced numerical simulation techniques to forecast oil and gas production and recovery.
- Collaborative Development: Work with team members to create economically viable development plans for oil and gas reservoirs.
- Data-Gathering and Analysis: Develop and execute data-gathering plans and use the results to improve recovery efficiency.
- Reservoir Design: Define reservoir design bases for projects and update Field Depletion Plans (FDPs).
- Management Strategies: Develop, maintain, and monitor reservoir management strategies, including surveillance and data acquisition planning.
- Project Support: Support development and prioritization of reservoir development activities such as drilling, data integration, workover and drill-well evaluations, volume forecasting, economics, and reserves assessments.
- Operational Support: Provide reservoir engineering support to technical and operational activities.
- Reservoir Management: Ensure sound reservoir management practices in line with local and international standards.
- Technical Support: Provide support during drilling, completion, workover, and through-tubing operations.
- Performance Studies: Conduct regular reservoir and well production performance studies to recommend optimal reservoir management strategies.
Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- B.Eng / BSc Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from a reputable institution.
- A Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of reservoir engineering experience in operating companies.
- Strong skills in reservoir simulation and planning using Petrel, Eclipse, and Navigator.
- Proficient understanding of geological modeling software such as Petrel.
- Professional expertise in Material Balance, well test analysis, and decline analysis.
- Experience in reserves estimation and classifications to meet SEC, PRMS, and NNS standards.
Other Requirements:
- Professional Engineering qualification. A Master’s degree is a bonus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of reservoir engineering and demonstrated ability to support reservoir development, management, and optimization.
- Ability to provide technical support for reservoir characterization, field studies, performance forecasting, opportunity generation, and evaluation.
- Good understanding of reservoir performance prediction using analytical and simulation tools.
- Collaborative work style and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with fluid characterization, hydraulics, material balance, reservoir simulation, economics assessment, and proficiency in office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
- Ability to use computer simulations effectively to identify drilling risks.
