The Role: Senior Power Engineer
As a Senior Power Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Bank’s investment operations in the power sector, particularly in the West Africa region. This role involves providing sector expertise in planning, development, structuring, and financing national and regional power systems, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Contribution: Participate in the preparation and development of the AfDB’s energy policies and strategies.
- Project Development: Engage in the design and implementation of projects that align with the needs of Regional Member Countries (RMCs) and regional economic communities.
- Technical Expertise: Offer guidance on the technical aspects of project identification, preparation, and supervision to ensure quality and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
- Collaboration and Networking: Represent the Bank in various partnerships, networks, and training seminars related to the energy sector.
