This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure.
About the Role
As an Information Technology Officer at Bosak Microfinance Bank, you will be pivotal in ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks, including:
- User Support: Manage employee details, create login access for staff, and provide training on banking software and computer applications.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with the bank application software, including end-of-day, end-of-month, and end-of-year processing.
- Data Management: Handle backup and restoration of data, and perform SQL database administration.
- Security & Maintenance: Manage security devices, monitor and track hardware and software security, and handle hardware installations and repairs.
- Documentation & Communication: Prepare written documents, maintain files, and liaise with IT vendors, technicians, and service providers.
- Operational Tasks: Manage the bank’s SMS portal, monitor computer supplies, and troubleshoot network issues including LAN and IP phones.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Additional qualifications are a plus.
- Experience: At least 2 years of proven work experience in IT, with hands-on experience in network administration and computer systems.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a strong understanding of computer systems, data center management, and IT system implementation and evaluation.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with database administration, security management, and troubleshooting of local area networks and communication infrastructure.
