Examination Requirements:

Supported browsers include Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari. The use of mobile phones is strongly discouraged as they may not provide a stable experience.
Ensure you have a stable internet connection throughout the examination. If using a phone as a hotspot, turn off all incoming calls to prevent interruptions.
Account Verification:
Upon receiving your Index Number and Password from OHCS, visit the examination portal via www.exams.nilhav.tech and follow these steps:
- Click “SIGN IN.”
- Enter your Index Number and Password.
- Verify your account name.
Examination Structure:
The Civil Service Graduate Entrance Examination is a Test of Cognitive Ability (Critical Reasoning), consisting of 30 questions to be answered in 40 minutes. For each question, select the best possible answer from the options provided.
Payment Details:
A one-time, non-refundable examination fee of GH¢ 100.00 is required. Service charges from your network or the service provider may apply. Candidates will receive notification of when and how to make this payment. Follow the detailed payment procedure outlined below.
2.0 Instructions to Candidates During the Examination
- Read all instructions carefully before starting the examination.
- Agree to the terms and conditions by ticking the checkbox at the bottom of the page. Failure to do so will prevent you from accessing the questions.
- Do not use the “CLOSE” or “BACK” buttons on your internet browser once the examination has started. Instead, use the “PREVIOUS” and “NEXT” buttons to navigate between questions.
- Submit your answers carefully; once submitted, you cannot make changes.
- Avoid external assistance during the examination. Soliciting help is prohibited and can lead to cancellation of your results.
3.0 Instructions to Candidates After the Examination
For multiple-choice questions, results will be displayed immediately after completing the examination. Candidates should note their scores and wait for further instructions from OHCS. The OHCS reserves the right to use these results for recruitment decisions.
4.0 Payment Procedure
Payments are to be made through Mobile Money on the OHCS examination portal. Follow these steps for a smooth transaction:
- Sign In with your credentials (Index Number and Password).
- Under the “All-Exam” category, click “Take Exam.”
- Click “BUY NOW” and follow the Mobile Money payment process:
- Click “PAY THROUGH GHANA.GOV.”
- Enter your Mobile Money number and click “Submit.”
- On the Ghana.Gov payment portal, sign in with your Ghana.Gov account or sign up for one.
- Choose “Mobile Money” and your service provider (MTN, AirtelTigo, Telecel).
- Follow the prompts to complete the payment.
Note: If you encounter interruptions during the payment process, check your mobile network’s approval system and activate any pending transactions (e.g., AirtelTigo Money – *110#, MTN – *170).
