Position: Analyst – Corporate Finance
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos, South West Region, Nigeria
Job Description
As an Analyst in Corporate Finance at MTN Nigeria, your role will be crucial in helping the company meet its financial and regulatory obligations. You will prepare analyses that support long-term liquidity management and aid financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare yearly budget forecasts and monthly budget variance reports with the Manager of Corporate Finance.
- Analyze and prepare treasury reports, including cash collection reports, FOREX exposure reports, and monthly cash disbursement reports.
- Gather and analyze data on CAPEX and OPEX expenditures to optimize cash forecasts.
- Act as the focal point for Treasury Accounting responsibilities, including monthly verification of credit interest, bank charges, and booking banking investments.
- Facilitate the administration and settlement of payments related to MTF, such as principal repayment, interest, and fees.
- Monitor and confirm the accuracy of corporate finance-related General Ledger postings.
- Assist with the settlement and administration of shareholders’ dividend distribution.
- Maintain financing records and ensure strict compliance with MTNN policies and procedures.
- Collate business information for updating the Supplemental Information Memorandum for lenders.
- Maintain best practices in corporate finance policies, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare monthly journals (accruals and amortization schedules) in line with accounting standards.
- Distribute authorized reports to lenders and financial institutions.
Qualifications
- Education: First degree in Accounting, Economics, or any finance-related discipline.
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, ACMA.
- Experience: 3-7 years in a financial environment, including corporate finance, accounting, and financial statement analysis.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of ERP (IFS), trade finance, management information reporting applications (OFA), good accounting practices, and the Nigerian policy environment. Experience in cash management and corporate treasury is essential.
